Good News Brothers Farewell Concert

The Good News Brothers are Trevor Locke, Brian Schrock, and Tim Chute. Max, Simon, Oliver, and Kellan introduced their dads as "three men of faith and fun".

They have been singing and laughing together for 5 years. George Gasek named them and has written all of their songs. On Saturday May 24 the "Brothers" performed several of their favourite songs as a farewell to us. The highlight was a surprise "Farewell Friends" song, newly written and performed for our leaving. This was a very special gift. Simon cried during the "farewell" -- Lisa, surprisingly, did not! In the end Philip Dykeman will be singing in Tim's place, so the Good News Brothers will continue to thrill audiences everywhere.

Weekend getaway!

On the long weekend in May, we traveled to beautiful Malagash Point on the Northumberland Strait. We spent 2 nights at the Heron Cottages with the Schrocks and the Shaws. What a wonderful relaxing time with friends. We had glorious weather on Sunday and spent most of the day outdoors. When it rained we played games inside next to the stone fireplace. We ate lobster and birthday cake and tacos and fruit and chips and pancakes and a whole lot more!

GNB practice

We are planning the Good News Brothers Farewell Concert on Saturday May 24th at 7:00 pm. The children will be involved in this one too. Over the years George Gasek has written many songs for Trevor, Brian, and Tim. They will perform their favourites and a couple of new ones. This will be a fun time! Refreshments to follow. The practice time is such a hoot!
