Max and Simon spent a week at Long Lake Church Camp near Bridgewater. Tim and Lisa attended this camp as children and later worked at the camp as counsellors, lifeguard, and nurse. This was Max and Simon's first summer camping experience. It was a first for Mom too!The boys had an awesome week of activities -- Macaroni Game, nightly Campfire complete with singing and skits, crafts, Wilderness adventures, swimming, Safari. Simon's dirty feet are a testament to how much fun (and how few showers) they had!
Every evening there was a Vespers service at "Angel Point". The camp Missions project this year was to build weirs in ..... KENYA! The campers learned about Kenya and the water shortage. The weirs will help to hold water when it rains so that there is a supply of water during times of drought. Each camper was encouraged to donate some of their "Tuck money" toward the project.
